Friendly service. Amazing chicken soup!Great value. The soup was loaded with bone in chicken - white & dark meat. Enough for people. I ordered the soup to go so the broth was in one container and the chicken/veggies/rice were in another. Combined everything in a large cup back at my hotel. Newhall is lucky to have this Gem of a restaurant! As for the atmosphere, I didn’t stick around long enough to feel the vibe. It’s your standard Taqueria - order at the counter, clean, bright, plenty of seating.

Love coming here but lately Ive been going and noticed all of their cooks chewing gum with their mouths wide open laughing and leaning towards the prep station very unsanitary if health department or inspection shows up forsure they will get violated I come from working in the food industry and know for a fact we can’t chew gum and laugh and lean towards the prep area like them also no one wears hair nets girl cooks hairs after messing very disgusted I had to leave and makes me sad because this had to be the last best taco spot in scv management or the owner needs to get this taken care of. Saw couple customers looking at them same way I was as we walked out.U can see one cook mouth open

For a first-timer like me, this taqueria exceeded my expectations, despite the stale chips. Maybe what made me love this place was that the red salsa at the bar tastes exactly like my mom's. After all, mom's cooking never disappoints. The delicious food and affordable prices more than made up for the chips, perfect for me, my wife, and kids.

With so many restaurants to choose from, we thought we might try El Taco Llama in Newhall. We were impressed by the artistry, the colorful chairs and tables. As for the food, I was really happy with my Chile Relleno. It tasted fresh and it was covered in a tasty sauce, peppers tomatoes and onions. It was not inundated with cheese inside or it, allowing for the pepper flavor to survive. Even the plates were vibrant. If I have one small issue, it was with the wimpy plastic forks and knives after such a lovely presentation of their food, it just seems wrong. I understand the economics of it, just not the aesthetics.
